Draft of Proposal with Preliminary Bibliography

The idea that I am very excited about pitching for this essay is rhetorical propaganda used in World War II. These quintessential examples of rhetoric show multiple modes of persuasion in an age where communication was growing, but the messages from propaganda posters still had a major sway on audiences. Not only can I produce many examples of these posters, but I can show posters from both the Axis and the Allies.

    Sam,

I’d recommend scheduling a meeting with COL Badgett, who has spoken, written, and taught quite a lot on this very subject. I’m certain he’d be able to point you toward many useful resources. To make the analysis manageable for the purposes of this paper, you’ll want to narrow your focus just a bit by selecting a theme, a particular point in time during WWII, or some other lens. Otherwise, you could write a dissertation on the subject because it’s such a fascinating site of rhetorical study.

    Regards,
    COL McDonald
