Malcolm X

We had the option to choose between a handful of authors for the assignment to write a rhetorical analysis about and I choose Malcolm X instantly. His life story fighting through of fighting through countless struggles is inspiring. He taught himself how to read in prison with a dictionary because he wanted to better himself and be illiterate.

Writing a rhetorical analysis the correct way can be confusing. I had the most difficult time with not writing about Malcolm X’s life more than writing about the rhetorical devices within his autobiography of his life story. With help from my classmates and teacher, I learned about rhetorical analysis and strategies to work through it.

  1. Using rhetorical analysis to write this essay was one of the hardest things for me to do in this class.

  2. I think you talking about your dads personal experience with racial tensions as a cop was a great way of starting the essay. It is a way of getting the readers attention and making the audience want to continue to read what happens next.
