Reflective questions for essay 1

1. I learned really how to draw out a teaser hi question and unbiasly answer it. My problem was, i only knew how to create a point and argue it. Flipping the assignment the other way around and comming to a conclusion of my own after writing the essay was very challenging and interesting.

What questions do I still have? I’m really only wondering what style we need to use to cite our sources. I know I did them wrong. The writing center told me to use Chicago, but I’m still a little confused on how to do it.

Purpose of the Research Project 01/29/19

Using the Straight edge movement from the early 1980’s to the mid 1990’s, I am trying to figure out how the straight edge movement has influenced and inspired such a huge variety of people. The Straight edge movement (originally associated with the punk rock scene) has since inspired a plethora of political groups and activists, including animal rights activists and vegetarians to terrorists like Timothy Mcveigh.

How did the movement appeal to so many people?

When did it die off?

What movements now have direct links to the straight edge movement?
