My definition of leadership is being able to captivate and inspire others to complete a task effectively. (&). The most important purpose of a leader is to keep others motivated even when it is difficult(+). An ideal leader shows up early and leaves late in order to make sure everything is running effectively. The ideal leader shouldn’t need to yell or allow himself to be pushed around (+). An ethical leader does not resort to blackmail or negatively influence his subordinates but inspires them .(1) I want to be a leader or at least learn how to be one because I will be put in the position regardless due to my Army contract. (2) I want a stern but good reputation as a leader. I want to be known as fair and not a push over (3). I am afraid of asking for help at times. Having the ability to not having an answer and seeking advice from others is a major fear of mine because I do not want to be known as weak. (4).
