I believe that the music culture in the working class played a big role in the way the music evolved around the Appalachian region, and how the working class people were parts of communities. I feel like a lot of the music that was coming out an becoming popular at the time were artists playing folky twangy type music that contained elements of feeling like a piece of a group, with tunes and tones of “we are all in this together’ type feels. We have seen music do this through American history where a group of people going through similar or the same struggles. For example, when the African slaves where being brought forcefully against their will to North America, they were all in the same predicament of being taken from their homes and families to a place the know nothing about. I feel like people of Appalachia during this time also had to cling to a sense of community. Everything that came about in their part of the country always seemed to be a force that is either condescending or trying to take advantage of them. I think you can here this internal agony as well as the unheard voices of the natives speaking out about the trails and tribulations they were facing at the time.
