In exploring the educational philosopher John Dewey, I found that translating his theories of democracy and community discourse proved to align with the standing of the way citizens today don’t integrate and participate in their many discourses. The writing of this paper allowed me to present and argue an already-existing ideal that very much relates to how one can analyze the present-day state of citizens and their engagement in their communities.
