In the first paper my argument was that the Land Scrip Fund should be vetoed. As far as ethos, logos, pathos, and kairos go, I think really the main way to increase those would be to replace weak adjectives with stronger ones, ones loaded with more or a negative connotation if aimed at the Land Scrip Fund, and a positive connotation if aimed at the veto. Improving ethos by building bridges to my audience could have been achieved by providing specific examples of those who would have benefited from an increase in funding from the state for community essentials, such as a young child or elderly person.
