Biography
Hi everyone! I live in Frederick, Maryland and was raised in Augusta, Georgia. I’ve lived in Germany and have traveled most of the world so I have great outlook on multiple cultures. I came to VMI as a legacy (grandfather ’57, commandant ’81-’84; father ’80) and fell in love with the place. I played NCAA lacrosse for 2 years, but had to stop due to injuries. I am currently a Biology Major with a concentration in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. With this in mind, I am interested in pursuing a career as a dentist and possibly joining the Army post-graduation.
Professional Activities
I am currently working on research that is focused on Parkinson’s Disease. I hope to gain some incite in the research realm as well as the medical field. Last summer, I shadowed with numerous dentists, ranging from general to specialty dentists. Furthermore, I hope to be involved much as I can with the community being involved both in Character Counts (organization that teaches elementary students on character weekly) and involved with the local community building gardens and providing teaching assistance. Looking back, I wish I had some guidance from college students giving me the feedback I need to build both my character and knowledge. With this in mind, I hope to chance the lives of the local students.
