  1. I agree that modern Art isn’t writing because it usually doesn’t contain any textual documentation, however I think that even randomly formed phrases and words do convey an idea about the writer, and therefore constitutes writing.

  2. I agree with the points you have made about writing however I believe you are leaving out one valuable point which is the fact to use writing you need a previously established alphabet or group of symbols to explain that writing. For example a group of random symbols means nothing unless it has a key to decipher the symbols used in the writing. – Will Tanner

  3. I disagree I think that some art could be a type of writing just not writing what we speak but art may say an unspoken language creating a reaction in us by looking at it.

  4. I agree with his examples of the activities that include writing because its similar to my examples that I used.

I also agree with his example of activities that do not include writing because it is an activity like mine that it is unnecessary to us writing.

  5. I agree with your definition of writing: it is a coherent text, it is written text, and it contains a purpose, which you phrase as communicating “ideas to or topics to a person or multiple people.” I also agree with your claim that modern art (which I assume you are referring to modern paintings, sculptures, carvings, etc.) does not constitute writing, not because it is necessarily “nonsensical”, but because it is a visual form of communication.
