Activity 1: Fixing Citations and Paraphrasing
Paraphrase: Clinton leads Sanders by 2.4 million votes, not 2.5 million votes.
This is a poorly carried out paraphrase as it is literally a copied sentence part and there is no given credit to the author of the sentence. There is also no given context to the paraphrase given to the sentence making it literally unable to identify. What the author really needs to do is put the sentence in their own words or put parentheses and then give an explanation to the sentence that they copied.
Citation:
“Sentence…” (Kessler).
Activity 2: Practice Makes Perfect
Paraphrase: Election polls were held in multiple states where the votes did not actually count for anything in the tally that was used in the article (Kessler). These states were Iowa, Nevada, Maine, Alaska, and Washington (Kessler). In addition, there were election polls held in US territories where the results came out with Hillary on top over Sanders (Kessler). The final set of votes that were added were from Democrats Abroad, in which Sanders this time came out on top over Hillary (Kessler).
