In this response essay I took the character Kim from Kim by Rudyard Kipling and evaluated his upbringing as a child that can slip in and out of different factions where as he grows older he is somewhat forced into the Sahib (British) world through the influence of others and the school. they harness his knowledge of the many cultures in India and try to use that to their benefit to the occupation of India all while Kim struggles to grow up and decide if he truly wants to become a spy for the British.
