In the workplace now millennials are becoming more and more involved. The millennials are also the first group of individuals to use all the present day technology starting at a young age. The technology such as texting, email, and even cell phone calls is used every single day in these people’s lives. Using this technology has become a regular and accepted part of everyone’s day. In the work force this constant communication can become a problem with getting work done. Since more and more millennials are starting getting jobs out of college there is a bigger issue with the new standards of communication. Business owners don’t want half of their workers constantly checking their phones and getting distracted from their work. Having this issue in the work place calls for new rules on the employees. In the article they talk about very relevant information that is a problem that I have seen working at my high-school job. It is an interesting topic because of how accurate and relatable this article is. I will definitely consider this issue when getting a job and try to make a conscious effort to not be the guy who is always on the phone or texting my parents.
