Education is the accumulation of knowledge throughout a period of time. It is the base of all humanity. Without education we would still be in the stone ages. Being educated is as important as being able to walk. Without it you have little to no credibility, seeing how other than intuition there is no backing to your argument.  Education is not necessarily found in school. We have been educating each other for hundreds of years. It can be passed down from parents to kids such as hunting or speaking. Education gets more in depth when you get into more modern ways of teaching. The modern education system teaches kids about reading, writing, math, science, and history. We get educated about the past so that we know what our ancestors did right and wrong so that we can learn from them. Knowledge is power and you get knowledge through education.  You don’t become the leader of great universities, states, or countries by being uneducated. The education system in America for youths could use some great improvement. Instead of teaching from a set schedule teachers should be passionate about the lessons and get their students interested. Teachers have a quota that they need to reach so they don’t get kids involved in the education process they just force the same old generic stuff down their throats. Education is the root of mankind. We need to take it seriously and not just put it off as some useless set of knowledge.
