Community

1. A community doesn’t necessarily have to have the same interests, but they have the same general goals.

Getting Eagle Scout in my scout troop.

2.  A community has to have way of communicating with each other.

A lot of communities nowadays use email to communicate.

3. There needs to be a transfer of information through the ways of communication.

Weekly Scout meetings and emails to keep people up to speed on current events in the community.

4. There is not just one type of communication, a community has to have different means of communication.

In my scout troop we had yearly bulletins, address books, weekly emails, and weekly meetings.

5. In a community a common, not necessarily language, but communication has to be shared. Something that people outside of your community would not quite understand, but within the community it is perfectly clear.

There are different terms used, for example, the scout oath, law, and patrol names.

6. A community remains constant. There must be a relatively equal number of people joining as there is leaving. If there are no new members, then eventually the community will die out.

New scouts come inn every year, and old scouts get eagle scout and go there separate ways.
