Welcome to SURI 2016

This website is dedicated to my research done on Surface Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy using APTES and Gold Nano particles in conjunction with an organic molecule attached to the gold.  The vials (seen below) are treated with APTES, gold plated, and then treated with ligands in order to make a container that is suitable for water purity testing.  The goal is to be able to make testing water for contaminants faster, cheaper, and more accessible.  Update posts will be put online when progress is made or developments arise.  For the day-to-day minutia of the lab work being done look under the “methods” tab.
