For women in nepal life is hard and agonizing once they get their period. Men think women are disgusting and unclean once they bleed. Women are not allowed to be in the home for weeks once they get their periods. They must move into a home where only women that are on their periods are. The living conditions in these little homes is scarce women have to fend for themselves and could be exposed to infections because they are not clean. They are not allowed to eat the meat or touch things because they are deemed as unworthy because they bleed.

Because of the world not being educated enough about women’s bodies this put women in an awkward position. This causes them to fear their bodies and something natural that God intended for them to do. Because not enough people are educated about that causes people to not understand what’s going on with the female body. This puts some of the girls at risk and can ultimately have repercussions within the girls life.
