The big deal surrounding the Kentucky cycle is simple the play that We’ve been reading in class was conducted and written to portray what the depiction of the Appalachia really is. Sadly the play was dipicted very negatively by bland characters who had unrealistic attributes. The big deal surrounding the play was that it showed the negativity of the region how people didn’t take baths and smelled funny one scene in the book shows a boy and his mother and he looks Albinosnd he’s playing whatbto beloved is a banjo. Another scene is where a man surrounded by Indians and captured and he promised to the Indians that he would kill his friend to prove to them that he was on there side but sercertly gave them items that contained tuberculosis. Scholars are offended if the play because the  writer of the screen play spent a weekend ima lowly town not even close in the region and used to display a “stigma” of the region that’s just furiated scholars. I agree with them to be offended, because not everyone in the region is uneducated and sings looking and mountiNs hillbillies that America so roundly believes. I think it does matter that the playeritter beloved he was helping the region. He actually was hurting saying he meant to do good but didn’t even visit or nightlight the gooodness of the region to its wildlife and free like spirit of the mountains today.
