Stereotypes have been a thing of the present for men and women for thousands of years. It’s hard to truly understand how a man and women would truly express themselves due to these gender stereotypes. Many of the pressures of stereotypes come from loved ones friends even parents , even those that struggle with their own sexuality( third gender). Social media and the social norms have a lot to do with this in today’s society and because of these norms generations to come have to hold the weight of this on their shoulders.

Due to social norms many people take offense or get angered by those individuals of the same or opposite sex act out of the norm. Many of the individuals that are angered think like “ if i acted like that when i would have been forsaken by my peers etc”. Today the main thing any human being wants to feel like they belong that people can accept them for who they are. People take measures like bullying and harassing people out of the norm and trying to make themselves feel better by putting down another individual whose is happy with their orientation.

Sexuality is a huge thing that deals along the lines of stereotypes. Many people hide their true feelings about what they are because they are scared of what society will think about them. This is a huge problem along heterosexual males in today society. All of social media is to blame from how the porn industry has changed the look on how you should feel about yourself. But really i feel like the real problem is how people feel about themselves, Insecurity is one thing that all people of the world struggle with. I believe because of all these factors with insecurity cause suicide to be prevalent when it comes to people sexual orientation. Believe that the world should be more into self worth and that you actually matter and make a difference. I believe that a seminar or like a educational class would be helpful with this issue. Education is at the heart of individuals and this could help educate people about this.

I never realized that stereotypes played such a huge role in today’s world. I thought that this issue only was around race and affected those when the issue of race is brought up. I think the awareness of this needs to be addressed to all people to educate them on the harms of these gender stereotyping we need to be more activate in addressing the issue. How can we help this issue by encouraging to tell more people to get educated about the harms of gender stereotyping and how we can make a better world for tomorrow.
