Steinberg’s article begins by outlining several cultural issues in the genre form of the book of Genesis from the Bible. Why do you think the author chose this form? How does this rhetorical choice work in terms of Steinberg’s argument? I believe that the author used this form of rhetoric to appeal to the reader. Steinberg relates barbie to the book of genesis and god saying in the beginning there was barbie and so forth. THis ties along with the idea that in the beginning there was god and the word was god. The typical phrase that starts within the bible. The author also highlights many different issues that we have  in today’s world. Steinberg in one paragraph talks about barbies southern charm and how she is only hetrasexual. We can say what we want on that opinion in today’s society because a lot of people have the liberty to express themselves freely. Many american citizens are either homosexual or straight and generally not going both ways. Steinberg also emphasis how barbie is multicultural and today many americans and people are multicultural. I believe that steinberg used this form of rhetoric to appeal to the reader and have a way to relate to them by using indirect evidence of translation of the bible to correlation with barbie.
