2011 Frankenstein Theater Production: Still Shot and Response

The image pasted below is a still shot from the 2011 theater production of Frankenstein. We had the chance to view this performance in town, and it truly stuck out to me as being a very good production. The acting and sets were excellent, and the production was true to the novel while taking some interesting liberties. The image I chose is from the first scene in the play. In this scene, the creature has just gained consciousness for the first time. He writhes around on the ground and moans for a long time, attempting to stand. This display viscerally highlights what it would be like for a conscious soul to be awoken in a human body, and it emotional and powerful. Overall, the play was very well made, and it was a great experience to be able to watch it with my classmates.
