“InsideVMI” Site Ambassador

Part of the work I have done for my internship with the Marketing team has been on a new project called insidevmi. The team is very excited about this new interactive website which we believe will make the rigors of VMI more transparent while simultaneous attracting new cadets — a constant struggle for the marketing team. This website is a social media based platform in which students who have applied to VMI are given login info which grants them access to the site. The platform is unique because only these prospective students are allowed into the site allowing them a space to ask each other questions and learn more about the Institute. In addition to the prospective students, there are 3 admins who can offer expansive and inside knowledge to life at VMI. Two other marketing analysts and myself serve as these admins. The other marketing analysts thought that having a current cadet in the site would help them answer questions they received that they were not sure of. In addition to answering questions, I also created a comprehensive bio. I also listed my major which I am hoping will attract new cadets to the major. This project has shown me how much of a challenge it is to market a place as challenge and unique as VMI. It is a constant struggle in which adaptability and new creative tactics are of paramount importance 

I don’t have a way to give access to the full site, the best I can do to showcase the site is add a few screenshots of the platform. Below is my profile as well as one of the many questions I have answered for prospective students. (My major is listed as ECBU because English was not an available choice, although they do have a lot of info about the English major for prospective students to look at.)
