The source I find most useful for my subject is Marilyn Butler. I find it most useful because my research paper is focused on marriage and Marilyn Butler focuses her passage on the feelings the two protagonist, Captain Wentworth and Anne. Also Marilyn Butler is able to break down Anne and let me, the reader, understand Anne’s feelings towards Wentworth. To understand why Anne has the feelings for Wentworth and to understand why Captain Wentworth has feelings and how his feelings have grown for Anne really helps. Also Butler helps me understand how Anne and Wentworth have matured to where they are at the end of the story.
