First things first, make sure you cite every thing you use from the text. In a MLA format essay, you must have an in text citation after every sentence that has a quote from the text or even a paraphrase of the text. In order to do an in text citation you must have the publishers last name and then the page number if there are numbers(must be in a parenthesis). If there are no numbers then you just put the last name in parenthesis. Make sure if you paraphrase that you put it in your own words but still make sure it doesn’t venture off of the meaning of the text nor do not cut too close to the exact words and meaning of the text. Lastly do not plagiarize or you will be kicked out of school.
