I have found all the data points that I will use for my t-tests and regression I performed a two-variable t-test for the top 5 Quarterbacks and Running backs in the NFL, examining whether we can reject the null hypothesis that the win variance with the starting player is the same as the replacement player. Click on ‘Methods’ for more information about how this test was conducted, and my final results and analysis will be posted here when they are completed.
In addition, I utilized all of my data to create two regression tables to answer the ultimate question: according to the Madden video game, which positions in the NFL most correlate to wins. One regression table will examine wins with respect to each position that was examined, and the other table will also incorporate the difference in rating between the starting player and the replacement player.
