This week in 411, I was tasked with reading two sections from books about writing in the community and internships. While, at first, I thought I was going to be interested in community writing, it was really the part about internships that interested me. I think this is because what we are doing in 411 can be constituted as an internship, and while I was reading the sections, I was thinking of all the directions I could take this course. I certainly think that Cadet Rozyskie and I have a unique opportunity to really affect the town and use the writing and communication skills that we have received here at VMI. The only issue I have with the class so far is that I have not had a meeting yet, but I know that will be remedied sooner rather than later. Overall, I’m very excited to start my work with Main Street Lexington and the 411 class!
