2.The Republic By Plato is a text based off of his teacher Socrates’s ideas.

3. Throughout this book Plato analysis what it means to be a just society through giving examples and analogies of an Ideal Society. The rhetorical discourse through the characters discourse if Socrates and others keeps an ongoing debate showing both sides of the topics. Plato gives great analogy such as the analogy of the cave that have impacted Greek thinking and philosophy as well as human thinking today.

4. I selected this text because it stood out to me as one of the most fundamental philosophical writings that have impacted the world.
