Reflection On Portfolio two
Many times in writing it is the subtle changes that can make a good paper into a great paper. For Portfolio two, I feel that my introduction and conclusion sentences for each paragraph were what I developed the most. I also think that these sentences were what helped make my paper stronger. In my first synthesis draft I did not provide a clear topic sentence for my first body paragraph. In my final draft I included the sentence: “One of the leading issues that is deliberated about Common Core is whether or not it is constitutional.” It is statements like this that help frame the argument and guide the reader through the paper. For the third draft I did not have a concluding sentence for the second body paragraph, but I added one for the final draft. Overall, the addition and refinement of introduction and conclusion sentences throughout the paper helped improve it dramatically.
