Refined Interview Questions

The following are questions pertaining potential post scenarios on the Face Book of Manny Bloch:

If you were to post a picture of yourself competing in your sport what do you think people would comment? How “manny” likes do you think you would get? Why?

If you were to post a status supporting gay rights what sorts of feedback do you think you would get? likes? Comments? Why?

If you were to post a picture with a significant other, what do you think that your Facebook friends would say? Comments? Why?

If you were to post a picture or a post that had a curse word(s) in it what do you think your Facebook friends would comment? How many likes? Why?

What type of post would you think your Facebook friends would find unusual and or uncharacteristic? Why?

How do you feel about creating a new form of social media? If yes, which ones? Why? If no, Why not?

*This week in our readings we have talked a significant amount about the individual. With this being said I think that this individuality may take away from others individuality. For example we talked in class about posting something and not getting any likes. This effects the individual because they might not post something along the lines of what did not get likes. I asked these questions for two reasons 1) I want to assess his level of individuality by looking how much he takes into account of what other people think and 2) I want to also assess those around him. I think that for the most part you are who you associate with (friends). But, I’m really not going to take this into account too much because they are just Facebook friends. Sometimes you may not have a tight connection with all of your Facebook friends.

Alex, you have written some closed-ended questions, but you have included follow-up questions. I agree with your assessment about FB friends: not all FB connections are equal! Considering that insight you had, perhaps you can ask Manny some more questions about how he uses Facebook for friendships.
