The career path that I am thinking about taking is marketing. Yesterday I talked to a marketer that had a lot of experience in the field. He talked to me about the different types of marketing there are. He stated that all marketing is the same, all that changes is what you’re marketing. I spoke with him about social media and marketing within social media. He didn’t really tell how they use social media but he stated why. He said that there are marketing opportunities in social media marketing. Every company has different sections of marketing that they utilize to try and help them reach as many potential customers as possible.

In this day and age with all the different forms of social media it would be feasible for me to learn how to use, maybe even create, as many social media outlets as possible.  He said that you have to know your audience. This is the main thing that stuck out to me in the conversation. I think that knowing my audience will help me tremendously on my blog. For my audience right now it would be better to make it as simple and user friendly as possible.
