Reflective Tag Emily Dickinson Presentation

Overall, this presentation went pretty well. As I stated in the begging of the presentation, Nate and I choose to dive deeper into Emily because of her later life and how it correlates to the theme of this course. The first step that Nate and I took was to assign each other different sections. I took the background of Emily, while Nate took legacy and influences. I know that some of the presenters before us went back and forward between each slide. I thought that if one presenter went for a few minutes then the next one went for a few minutes then it would be more engaging to the listeners. When we established this we then gathered our information a sent it through email so that we could compare our discoveries and put them into PowerPoint form. Personally, I can say that I have learned a lot about presenting and about Emily Dickinson from doing this presentation. I have learned that practicing in advance for a presentation makes an enormous difference in how smoothly it goes. On the other hand a few things I found interesting about Emily Dickinson was 1) the amount of poetry that she had written that went unpublished and 2) her productivity considering that her long time seclusion. That being said I think that the smoothness of the presentation as a whole went very well. One thing that I wish we had done was maybe put an additional slide in the PowerPoint (i.e. fun facts or images of the poetry that we could have talked about).
