The essay that I wrote was about German Industrial metal music and what its conventions are and its musical style. The essay was written for those unfamiliar with the topic and to complete an assignment about writing in a genre for ERH-101. I worked on using specific examples and trying to engage the audience more along with explanations of a topic and trying to project ideas to an audience unfamiliar with a topic. I developed the most my ability to project a topic to an unfamiliar audience which is important in trying to make another group understand my perspective. I still need to work on being able to show an audience instead of telling them, but in this essay I feel it is a little bit better. I also need to work on the flow of my essay to make it be less jumbled and less confusing. In my improvement on showing an audience what I wanted to tell them by giving examples of performances by bands and examples of their songs and the sound of the songs.
