News from Pakistan

The article that I picked is an overview of every time a Pakistani general was faced with legal issues throughout Pakistan’s history. Within the article it covers from nearly the beginning of Pakistan’s founding in 1947 with the first legal case appearing in 1951 and the most recent the case in 2019. The most common reasons for legal trouble being forced upon these generals or former generals is being caught while attempting to organize an uprising or assassination.  The ones that do not follow this pattern of organizing a movement to overthrow the current government are the ones that I find the most interesting. The most recent case was in 2019 and it was about one general who had been convicted for leaking sensitive government information out into the public by publishing a book. I wonder if this is an example of a future that Pakistan might have where they are losing their grip on controlling the highest military officials? In addition, I wonder if this initial leaking of information could create a pattern among government officials of leaking out sensitive government secrets?
