As a senior at VMI I took several philosophy classes to develop my critical thinking skills as well as broaden my horizon in regards to ethical situations. I believe that all leaders should be able to make tough decisions and my goal is to get a better understanding of how to do this. Whether it be ethics, distributive justice, or religious philosophy, these philosophical classes have not only introduced me to other schools of thought but allowed for me to understand the inborn differences of opinions with people. Ultimately, I am glad that I have had these experiences because my journey through philosophy has taught me to examine everything critically.
