This was my very first essay of the semester. I wrote about my experience with my first pen pal. At first I had a little trouble trying to integrate more detail into this essay, but eventually, everything worked out in the end. The purpose of this essay was to get acclimated to the style of writing in college.
The audience that I tried to attract was not just set on one single group, but everyone. I just stated in the essay that my emotions towards having a pen pal was very fluctuating at first, but got better toward the end. When I first got the assignment, I was very skeptical because I mainly didn’t know what to say because it was a little awkward. As the year went on, it became less awkward and actually really fun. I was sad when the end of the year came and I had to stop writing letters to my pen pal.
