What do teachers need to know about cognition?
Teachers should be ready to use different techniques and strategies for thinking. Because they play such an important role in guiding students in way that they began to learn ways to think. This creative process “is not beyond the capacity of any normal human being” (87). However, I believe the ability “to create” is in itself a special talent for each individual student.
The ability to create or to be creative in learning comes from the relationship with teachers. This external influence suggests that a students experience effects what they learn with or without guidance. Ultimately, this leads to intellectual growth from such a high level of thinking. Jean Piaget says that this process occurs through assimilation and accommodation. Therefore we are constantly drawing the environment to us or adapting to it (95).
