Rhetoric is the use of persuasion on a certain topic, issue, or idea to impress an audience. The Rhetor is referred to the person given the speech. This person is usually looked up to because of their higher level of education, intellectual thinking, or even power.
Rhetoric can be easily simplified as a means of communication to a specified audience, by expressing an idea via word of mouth typically to the uneducated.
Rhetoric was first expressed using the socratic method by Plato. This method consisted of the question and answer dialect. Typically and an over exaggeration of words to influence people.
The art and style of Rhetoric has changed over time. Due to the Rhetor themselves, the audience, and change in time or history.
