Goals

Over the course of this semester I would like to communicate better, become more empathetic to my subordinates, and achieve a deeper understanding of middle management leadership. The thing I struggle with most as a leader is being flexible. I like to make a plan and work it exactly as I planned it.  I am very organized but do not communicate well with others. I tend to do well with toxic emotions by realizing that if I let them influence me, I will be continuing a cycle of toxic emotions my followers do no deserve. I am very good art expressing emotions such as pride and joy, especially when it relates to my followers. I am afraid that as a leader I will lead my followers away from the correct path, and ultimately hurt them in some way.  From this course I hope to broaden my perspective of leadership outside my current understanding.

During my  time this semester I have accomplished every goal I set. I communicate better, became more empathetic to my subordinates, and achieved a deeper understanding of middle management leadership. I am comfortable being more flexible. I now also realize how much more I have to learn about leadership.
