Results section- 1) describe your data, the frequency of how often something came up… 2) demographic analysis (however mine is strictly limited to males)… this is where i can show why and what the relationship im seeking,
By the time the results section comes about, have the thesis ready, that will tell you what results to include.
Example first sentence of results:
RESULTS IS STRICTLY REPORTING !!!!!!!!!
“In order to understand the relationship between iPhone and Android users, I conducted interviews with each of the brand owners. The questions I asked would be relatively open ended, picking the brains of the consumers.” Then state a relationship found. AND then explain the relationship. Keep providing evidence and creating your argument of why this is true.
Brand familiarity is seen with both types of consumers. Apple and Android users share the hesitation to change brands when asked if they would, even given a free phone. These users have gotten so accustomed to the phones they use everyday, they steer away from change as a whole. Although they might change, given more time, it would take some convincing and heavy adjustment to make that switch. Even though these brands share a lot of the upcoming technology, they have always gone about them in different manners, making users wary of the change.
Both users agree that each brand’s software and computer technology are outstanding. The recognition is there, so that is an important step into seeing the opposing side. They might recognize that each has competitive technology, they leave it up to personal opinion. Personal opinion is a large deciding factor into which phone you get. Apple is seen to limit your freedom when compared with the Android, but Androids can seen as outcasted members from the Apple community.
No matter what phone you have, their is an underlying theme of money involved. Apple products tend to be more expensive that Androids, which has developed a connotation that those that can afford an Apple product will buy one. Those without an Apple phone are ostracized from some groups.

Does owning either an Apple or Android phone come with generalizations on how males from ages 18-22 view the other platform?
Interview
If you were to interview someone, what information do you want, and why? to answer your research question?
I want to know how each person views the other platform and why..
I want to know how they got this view, so I want to pick at the origins of this person’s thoughts..
I want to know how likely/unlikely they would be to switching to the other platform and why..
I want to know their history with the phone brand they have now, and if they have enjoyed it..
What is your view on the other platform and why?
What is your history with your platform? Explain in as much detail as needed.
Observation
If you were to do an observation, what info do you need from it and why?
I would have to view live interactions with Apple and Android users
My venue would have to be somewhere public, with the conversation about these two phones initiated. I would have to lurk in a reddit thread for more info
Survey
If you were to do a survey, what info would you need to answer this question and why?
I would need to see respondants’ views about the other platform, and if there are any reoccurring patterns and stereotypes that come about.
“What brand do you own?” 1) Apple 2) Android, this starts the divide on the survey, begins the category divide.
As of now, I think that conducting interviews with people that I choose will allow for the best information to be conducted. I can ask open ended questions that get the most information out of the situation, with different perspectives.

Paper One
Paper 1 Reflection
While I was writing, the biggest misunderstanding I had was with the methods section of the article. I thought I understood it at first, but I was way off. It took trial and error to understand what exactly it was, but at the end, with help from the Writing Center as well as Maj Garriott, I have grasped the methods section.
My development as a writer is one that is slow, but it is steady. I may not fully grasp every concept, but piece by piece I get better at certain sections of papers. Last semester, a huge problem I had was not speaking in an active voice. Almost all sentences were typed up in passive voice. Hearing about this for years, I was familiar with the terms, but I just did not quite understand how to identify passive voice. Throughout last semester I began to grasp the concept of active voice and apply it to my writing, allowing for my revisions to improve dramatically.
I can take the idea of concision to other classes, and in life. Trimming the fat and building the muscle of the paper is super important when developing a strong paper. Examples of this muscle that I can now build include logically reasoning and better organization of the paper. In order to create a strong argument, understanding the basics of logical reasoning is important. When it comes to logical reasoning, I have come to realize the structure and organization are super important.
