Homework due 2/19/19
Bulleted list of what I want my editor to focus on in my paper.
- Are my ideas central?
- Look for sentence structure
- Identify if I have messed up grammar/comma splices
- Are my ideas separate from one another?
- If something does not make sense, ask a question.
- Is my claim present?
Try to make specific and constructive comments, general statements don’t always help.

Homework Due 2/12/19
The strong introduction represents a good model of what should be done to bring the topic to light before addressing the question. Aside from the solid formatting, without analyzing the history of the fandom, you can’t get a good picture of what they were dealing with in the past. Though grasping every facet isn’t possible, without the history the picture isn’t close to completion.
If the way a fandom or problem is viewed can vary so much? How is it that any argument can stand up on its own as resounding? Does that mean analysis is just opinion? Of course it has some opinion to it, but is there any true backing?
The more I try to understand and read, the more confused I seem to be.

How can I apply this knowledge to the research in other courses/projects I will complete?
This wealth of knowledge about archives can help largely in the organization of sources. With an open mind to research, knowing that the original question is likely to be shaped in time, will greatly aid in the freedom of thought. In the since of organization, the master lists will help you easily find your sources, and the topic they discussed within the archives. However, this form of master listing may help some become more organized, it is not the only way of staying on top of the organization.
Largely these archives are just pieces to a puzzle. These archives likely will open new doors and present information that is against what you thought to be true. The truth is hard to find, and it is not likely to be the full truth, since the full truth can have many perspectives and sides to it. Often sharing the information with those researching similar topics will present new information to them as well as being countered with new information that they bring to the table.
In conclusion, researching with an open mind, as well as with a skilled organization pattern will lead to more efficient discussion and presentation of information. There is always more information out there, down to the detail, it is just up to the researcher to find and then translate the situation.

Which is better Android vs Apple, why?
byu/hasankhms inAskReddit
Solid comment thread of assumptions and discussion many people have when discussing the topic. Archived thread, so off limits to new comments. Discusses prices, technology, as well as overarching assumptions. Even goes down to preference. Not strictly phones either. Features, etc.

Questions about history of fandom…..
With the rising technology, what jump/jumps led phone users to personally attach themselves to either an apple or android?
Why is there such fandom about one or the other? Because typically you don’t find people that are in a happy medium.
When approaching buying a smartphone, people look at these two major types of phones and have to decide one or the other?
Is one more user friendly than the other, leading the user to pick that phone, even there a “better” model may be sacrificed?
What is the distinction that the user looks for to recognize one phone as a better phone than the other?
Does this company biases extend outside of the mobile cell phone? Ex: Computers, choice in tablets…
How did the origin of these fan groups divide/unify pop culture?
How did this social divide/distinction include/exclude owners from communicating with one another?
What factors lead the public when considering purchasing an Apple or Android, and how does “fitting in” to society affect the buyer’s choice?
