What Stereo types have affected your literacy?

 

I have been stereo typed as a dumb jock most of my life. The reason being that I have always played sports my whole life and I also come off like I am not very smart. But when I was a senior in high school, I wanted to change my image into a intelligent person, which I knew I was but just never cared enough to change other peoples minds. I wanted to change peoples minds because when you are though of as a dumb jock, no one listens to your ideas, and if they do they don’t actually take them into account. And I knew if I wanted to ever be a leader I would have to change how people thought of me. And I have been in the process of changing minds ever since my senior year of high school. That has lead me to VMI and putting make effort into my school work and the humanities.
