I put off taking this class until the very last semester because it worried me for several reasons. The first is that I’m terrible with computers. I know how to turn it on and open word or Netflix, that’s about it. The second reason is that I’m not very good at math (I had to retake rat statistics because I failed it the first time). The third is because I’ve heard other IS majors that have AC stars say that it’s difficult. With all of these things against me, I still tried to come into the class with a positive attitude.
After doing the first reading it seemed pretty easy conceptually because Pollock did a good job of laying everything out step by step in the book. But then we did activities in SPSS on our own and I was completely lost. I think that once we use it more and become more familiar with it that it will be easier but right now the class still worries me.
