I completely agree with the authors statement made in the textbook. I agree because this disease would be extremely hard to ever be eradicated throughout the world because it is inter played throughout society. This mainly is because how contagious and infectious it truly is for humanity. The disease is spread airborne through breathing or coughing. This can also be spread by close human contact. The disease is known to be much more common in crowded areas. Making it much more dangerous throughout big cities this is big cities are much more crowded than other areas such as the country or more rural places in the world. Another reason I agree with the author is that in 2015 research was taken and 10.4 million cases of tuberculosis were identified. Also 1.8 million of them people died meaning 34,000 people died each week from TB. This is an ongoing problem for society and the world as a whole. It is just not as publicized as it truly should be.

Another way that tuberculosis spreads extremely rapidly is throughout the military. This is because the military people are in extremely condensed areas together. The rooms are in close spaces and they are expected to work as a team in almost any project job or mission together. This makes them extremely vulnerable to the disease. The high spread of TB was more common in the past for the military though. In today’s military’s rate for TB is considerably low compared to the civilian world.

Although TB is such a deadly disease two thirds of the disease is covered throughout Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Why these select countries? Again, because these countries are extremely condensed and crowded making this disease much more effective to society.

The real way the problem of TB can be solved is putting top dollars into hospitals and making it a worldwide problem so people will realize the true problem that TB is. This will not only make the people realize this is a huge problem but also make people aware of the dangers and protect themselves as well as see if they have the disease.

To a close, I agree with the author. TB is an ongoing problem and will re appear in the future unless it is truly appreciated for the deadly disease it truly is.
