My name is Olivia-Aman Cotton. I was born in Tucson, Arizona, but moved to Northern California when I was about Seven. I believe that I owe my interest in education to my Great-Grandmother Betsy. At a very young age she had me reading books, the dictionary, trying to learn Spanish, and anything else possible for a kid my age. Besides for education she got me involved in many different sports and I discovered a love for gymnastics and dancing. Once I moved to California I quite dancing and doing gymnastics and picked up competitive soccer and started running track. These sports became a huge part of my life and how I was going to pay my way in college and so I put a lot of time and effort into it. Now, a NCAA D1 athlete at VMI I am currently playing soccer and running track and continuing my education.I am currently planning to double major International Studies and Spanish. I have aspirations after VMI to go to grad school and study law. I believe that in the future I want to be a lawyer with an emphasis on civil rights cases.
