The following is an essay written for The Language of Art in which I analyzed and compared two artworks by Jackson Pollock and Botticelli. The choice of artists and works was completely up to me and challenged me to utilize what I had learned about art and creative elements. Creativity is not a concrete concept, and much of it is subjective. As an English major, there will be many occasions in which I will encounter matters of taste or that which is subjective. In those moments I will have to utilize the skills I have learned thus far to make arguments and formulate opinions.
