My name is Urie Conis, and I will be attending VMI as a rat in the class of 19+3. I was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia, a mere 45 minutes away from the institute. I have four older sisters, all of whom have succeeded in college. Two are married and expecting children this fall. My mother’s name is Annick Dupal. She is Canadian, from Quebec, and works part-time in the ERH department. Her office is located in Scott Shipp Hall. Other members of my family are my dog, Darian; I shall miss him very much during the cold winter days. I graduated from Harrisonburg High School in 2018, and I will be majoring in mechanical engineering at VMI. I hope be successful in the ratline and become a cadet at VMI one day.
