Primary Ideas and Intentions- The idea of this project was to construct a Facebook page that would begin spreading movement about the issues associated with mental disorders among youth 8-25.
Rhetorical Decisions- Because I myself fall into this age group the most difficult rhetorical decision to make was deciding on to best convey a sense of ethos. Trust is the main facet of this project
Purpose – To create awareness of this issue
Audience- Parents and adult in particular, but also for youth 8-25 because I want them to know they aren’t alone. However, I think it is parents that, through the love of their children, have the potential to really get the ball moving.
Context- Supposed to be an informational and supportive advocacy project
Genre- I chose Facebook because I wanted a site that the majority of people knew how to maneuver. Since I am not the best at technology I put myself in the shoes of others that are the same and I felt Facebook was the best choice
Design- I wanted a neutral tone to my project. Not overtly happy or sad. It is a difficult topic
Modal Choices- Loud voice and gentle gestures
Dissemination Choices- Be mindful of the age range?
Project challenges and successes- My overall idea is very strong though it is sometimes hard to convince people that thats a problem.
