2:28 Digital Spaces and Visual Rhetoric for Advocacy

Before I looked at these websites I did not really know what digital advocacy looked like and after looking at them I am still not really quite sure. I felt like neither one of them stood for traditional advocacy as I generally imagine it. Were they advocating advocacy? When I pictured websites like this I think I had preconceived notions of what most people would create an advocacy project about.

I think for successful advocacy there needs to be an array of points that are hit. The layout, the language, needs to be parallel to what you are speaking about. Nothing is a filler, everything should work together to make the point you are trying to make come alive. That’s why I did not Like the Digital Advocacy Institute’s. I felt it did not come alive for me. Vox Global was much more vibrant and attractive which is something I will remember for my project.
