One of the many things that makes Field Work unique is the large amount of independence that the course demands. There is no teacher to dictate over you one hundred percent of the time but instead you have to oversee yourself, which is an unpleasant awakening in the student realm. I am a very unorganized person and this was without a doubt the most difficult aspect for me. In the beginning I would often forget about meetings or assignments but as the course progressive I noticed that I was actually becoming a lot more mindful about governing myself and my responsibilities. Since my partner for the project was another student we had a much more liberal schedule compared to the type of schedule that a professor would impose. It was interesting working together with my partner to develop a schedule that would suit us both but also allow for change if the need be.
