Perl 615-639
Prewriting – In his writing sessions, Tony used prewriting to create a general outline of the subjects of his paper. If he had used this to connect the main ideas of his paper, as Perl, suggests, the paper would automatically have more rhetorical value behind it making the paper more interesting to the reader.
Fluency – Perl writes that the writer, Tony, produced fewer words when he spent a large amount of time prewriting and produced a much lower word count in a longer amount of time. This suggests that there needs to be a balance between prewriting time, which allows you to organize your thoughts, and actual writing time, which must be logical as well as fluent.
Editing – Tony spent large amounts of time editing simple mistakes such as spelling and grammar which have the ability to be corrected while writing the paper. When revising your paper for a final draft, there should not be many errors dealing with conventions, instead, the writer should focus on revising the main ideas of his paper, making them more fluent and concise for the reader.
