Ai WeWei. Sunflower Seeds is piece of art made in 2010. Its made out of hand crafted sunflower seed. Made with China’s number one export- Porcelain. WeWei shows realism and naturalism with how the sunflower seeds are arranged. Sunflower Seeds is the latest of a number of works that Ai has made using porcelain, one of China’s most prized exports. The sunflower seeds symbolizes gesture of human compassion, providing a space for pleasure, friendship and kindness during a time of extreme poverty, repression and uncertainty.

Olafur Eliasson. Your Black Horizon is piece that has a lot to do with light. You can see the contract between dark and light in each piece.The light is of the recorded light of a 24hr period in the local area/region sped up to a 25 minute loop.Eyes accustomed to the brightness outside are overwhelmed by the depth of the darkness inside the space. The contrast is key to this photo and will stay relevant for many years.
